New Factory at the Core of Expansion for Wernick

By Wernick Buildings Limited in Industry News

Wernick Buildings is relocating its manufacturing base to a three million pound development at Kenfig Industrial Estate, near Port Talbot. The new factory should be fully operational by the spring of 2015.

The new site, less than fifteen miles down the road from the current factory, will improve factory output by 50%.

The ten acre site and increased factory space will also allow for a greater range of modular products to be manufactured. The improved facility will also undoubtedly prove very useful for construction of the new Rapidplan™ building system currently in development.

Wernick are using the advantages of modular building to make the transition between sites particularly smooth for office staff, as the existing 2 storey office building is being relocated from Neath to Kenfig. To further improve the sustainability of the factory, photovoltaic panels will be installed on the roof.

Andy King, Managing Director of Wernick Buildings (pictured), commented: “This is a fantastic opportunity for the growth of the Company. Coupled with an increase in staff nationwide and orders already coming in from the recently opened Scottish Division, there are exciting times ahead for Wernick Buildings.”
