Wernick invests in future growth with acquisition of Rawley
On May 1st Wernick Hire Ltd purchased Rawley Plant Ltd, a prominent Essex based company supplying portable accommodation, welfare units and ancillary equipment.
With a focus on growth, this acquisition plays a pivotal role in Wernick’s ongoing commitment to innovation and expansion within the construction industry.
Rawley was founded in 1961 by father and son Jim and Colin Rawley, with Colin’s son Howard joining in 1991. Today, Rawley is well known within the region and enjoys an excellent reputation for quality equipment, exemplary service and client support. Their existing customer base consists principally of regional contractors and local Essex and South-East based businesses who operate across London and the home counties. As a result, this acquisition will increase Wernick Hire’s fleet by 1200 cabins, strengthening their position as the primary hirer of cabins and modular buildings in the South-East.
Wernick Hire’s operational footprint will also increase, as Rawley and their skilled staff will continue to operate from their purpose built one-acre site in Basildon.
David Wernick, Executive Chairman at Wernick Group commented, “Rawley Plant is highly regarded and shares our commitment to service excellence towards our customers. We’re very excited about our latest investment, and extend a warm welcome to the 20 new members of staff who join us as part of this acquisition.”
