Midlands Air Ambulance receive new modular facility

By Wernick Buildings Limited in Industry News

The Midlands Air Ambulance has had replacement accommodation for its airbase at Strensham services off the M5. The MAA has the largest operating region in the UK and is the only charity responsible for funding and operating three air ambulances.

A Wernick Buildings Rapidplan™ 3000 replaced the existing building, as it needed updating and did not facilitate all the needs of the air ambulance base.

Becky Tinsley, the air operations manager at the Midlands Air Ambulance commented, “The Building has met all our expectations, our crew and visitors who prefer the new facilities and have commented on the accommodations open plan design which makes for a light environment.”

The building was delivered in four bays and designed to meet specific credentials to ensure infection prevention and medicine storage with installation being kept to a tight deadline.

Wernick Buildings worked with FSC Consulting to install the modular accommodation. Mark Crowe the Director at FSC Consulting commented, “Wernick Buildings was chosen through tender process, based on the quality of their buildings and the deliverability. We were very happy working with Wernick and had a great relationship with the Wernick staff.”

The helicopter external sign donated by Wernick Buildings to the Midlands Air Ambulance is in support of the worthy cause and the great work the charity carry out, flying seven days a week, 365 days a year and saving countless lives.
