Wernick Modular Buildings Reach Offsite Finals

By Wernick Buildings Limited in Industry News

Wernick Buildings are among five UK businesses shortlisted for Best Use of Volumetric Technology at this years Offsite Awards.

For the award, judges selected the Active Office built at Swansea University in association with Specific. Wernick manufactured the building at its factory in Kenfig, South Wales.

The shortlisted businesses have utilised volumetric technology to deliver quality, factory-controlled, robust and sustainable offsite buildings.

The Wernick built modular office building for the University of Birmingham also found itself in the finals, thanks to the projects architects.

The high specification office block was entered into the awards by Glancy Nicholls Architects and has earned the firm a place in the finals for the Architect of the Year award.

The awards organisers commented: We have been overwhelmed with the amount of submissions received this year, so we were not envious of the judges who had the onerous job of selecting the winners and finalists.

Wernick eagerly await the results of both awards, which will be announced at the Offsite Awards ceremony in London on the 5th March 2019.
