The Scottish Government’s Schools for the Future programme will see construction and refurbishment works being undertaken at many Scottish schools. Throughout last years summer holidays, Wernick Buildings delivered buildings at 13 different schools across the country. The projects were made up of both new clients, and returning customers like the Highland Council.

Ian MacDonald, Special Works Manager for Morgan Sindall, who worked closely with Wernick on five primary school projects for the Council, commented: “Thanks to the team achieving delivery of units on schedule, all of the new classrooms were available for the pupils to utilise and enjoy on their return to school after their summer vacation.”

Another key project for Scotland in 2018 was a £1.25m Contractors Compound at Edinburgh Airport (pictured). The two storey building contains welfare facilities, a canteen, meeting rooms and 40 offices.

In just three months, the team installed a total of 150 modules. Chris Hart, Divisional Manager for Scotland remarked: “We knew the summer would be busy but we never expected such a significant success in sales orders. Although fabulous, to triple the business levels of the previous year has been a massive challenge, both operationally and commercially. I would like take this opportunity to thank our team here in Glasgow, and of course our customers both new and existing for choosing Wernick Buildings.”
