Wernick Launch New Modular Building System

By Wernick Buildings Limited in Industry News

Wernick Buildings launched their new Swiftplan™ modular system at Ecobuild 2018.

The new system is designed to deliver larger buildings while maintaining shorter, more dependable programs and cost efficiency. Andy King, Deputy Managing Director for Wernick Buildings commented, “Increasingly we’re being asked to provide larger and larger schemes and while our current system is perfectly capable of delivering these, we realised that there was room to improve the process for larger projects.”

The redesign included revisiting every aspect of the manufacturing process, from design through to the supply chain, the latter reducing the number of components needed during manufacture by up to 75%. The design will also use larger modules, reducing the number of deliveries needed to site.

With changes to existing fire regulations likely, Wernick have future-proofed the design with a best practice fire performance, capable of 120-minute fire resistance.

Andy added, “We’re manufacturing larger modules, and producing them faster than our previous systems. This means less time in the factory, and less time transporting and installing the units. Consequently, programs are shorter and our clients can occupy their buildings sooner.”
