Cleveland Partners with Middlesbrough College to Employ Local Welding Talent

Cleveland and Middlesbrough College team up to boost local workforce and skill development. Richard Hauxwell demonstrated exceptional talent and dedication throughout his Level 3 Advanced Welding Skills course.

Recognising the potential in nurturing local talent and strengthening the region's workforce, Cleveland officials eagerly embraced the opportunity to have him join the team. Cleveland's collaboration with Middlesbrough College marks a significant step in their efforts to bridge the gap between education and employment. ​

Our relationship with Middlesbrough College continues to grow.  

Both parties share a passion for creating environments for people to grow and nurturing talent. Richard is a fantastic example of this, and the team and I are delighted to have him onboard. His work ethic, approach and ambition are perfectly aligned with our business and we are excited to see his progression. As we continue to grow at an unprecedented rate, so too, will our employees.

Since joining the team, Richard has made a huge impression on his colleagues. 

Richard has been a brilliant addition to our Middlesbrough depot team, he showed his passion and dedication to the role during his work experience with us and we were very happy to be able to offer him a full-time position on completion of his welding course. He has bedded in with the depot team and continues to turn out excellent work, I look forward to seeing what he can achieve here at Cleveland.

The collaboration between Cleveland and Middlesbrough College continues to inspire other local students to pursue their passion and unlock their potential in the world of skilled labour, with three new apprentices joining the company within the past few weeks. 

Ever since I met Richard, he has been nothing but passionate and enthusiastic about his job and the company, his eagerness to learn is incredible and we are so pleased and proud to have him as a key member of the depot team.
