Cleveland Group joins the SME Climate Commitment

By Cleveland Group in Industry News

We have taken one step further in our commitment to reaching net zero, by becoming committed members of the SME Climate Hub.

This is the official pathway for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) to join the United Nations’ Race to Zero campaign. It enables businesses like ours to build a resilient and sustainable future.

At Cleveland Containers, we recognise our responsibility to lead by example in the journey towards net zero emissions. The SME Climate Hub provides a practical approach to help small and medium-sized businesses overcome the challenges they encounter when taking action on climate change, whether it's reducing emissions or introducing eco-friendly solutions to their market. Providing resources and external tools from Oxford University, the SME Climate Hub fully supports its members in their pledge to achieve net zero.

Climate action is not only crucial for the environment but also essential for building business resilience amidst changing policies, consumer demands, and global expectations. We are committed to taking meaningful steps towards sustainability and encourage other SMEs to join the Race to Zero campaign. Together, we can create a greener, more sustainable future for all.

Joining Climate Hub and officially committing to the goals they have set out is our first step showcasing our commitment to the UN Climate Change Race to Zero campaign’. This initiative aligns perfectly with our dedication to sustainability and responsible business practices.

Taking climate action is not just about protecting the environment; it's also about ensuring the long-term resilience and success of our business in the face of evolving policies and consumer expectations. We are excited to be part of this global movement and encourage other SMEs to join us in creating a sustainable future.
