MTX are delighted to announce that we are winners of the Best Modular/Mobile Healthcare Facility at this year’s Building Better Healthcare Awards!
This award was achieved for our critical care project, delivered to John Radcliffe Hospital earlier this year.
Utilising Modern Methods of Construction, MTX delivered this 5,450m² 5 storey building in just 60 weeks, making it one of the biggest healthcare facilities in the UK, delivered using MMC.
In addition to managing critical care demand and activity throughout the Covid-19 pandemic, this new facility was also required to support and alleviate future seasonal and epidemic pressures for the Trust.
Through excellent collaboration and teamwork between the key project partners; the Trust’s clinical, estates and projects personnel, our architects IBI Group, consulting engineers DSSR and Hoare Lea, civil engineers Rossi Long and structural engineers Alan Wood, the scheme progressed smoothly and to programme.
Adam Robertson Director at MTX, said: “We are immensely proud to have received a second award for this prestigious project, after also being successful at this year’s Offsite Awards. The Oxford Critical Care project was our largest one to date and I believe its success is largely down to the superb collaboration between all key partners and the excellent client team we have had the pleasure of working with.”
Congratulations to all of the 2022 winners!
