BAM Nuttall invest in innovative, sustainable on-site accommodation provided by Groundhog

BAM Nuttall has made a significant investment in innovative, sustainable on-site accommodation used by their operational teams.

Various features make this accommodation more comfortable and safe for teams using them, and for BAM Nuttall and project managers, using these units brings additional environmental and cost benefits. All projects have cost constraints and targets to reduce impacts on the planet – carbon, waste and water – so this is a win all round.

The roof mounted solar panel powers heating, lighting, hot water and electrical sockets, achieving carbon and cost saving of up to 80%. Using Fusion Pulse units from Groundhog, can reduce reliance on generators, therefore reducing emissions and fuels costs. And an on-board low flush toilet system, more comfortable than a chemical toilet, reduces water use and waste on site.

All seven units have been painted in BAM Nuttall livery and mobile units have safety chevrons on the rear.

Andy Haythorne, BAM Nuttall’s Allbrook depot Plant and Fleet Manager said, “When we were looking for suitable site accommodation our main considerations were high quality and a long operational life expectancy; comfort and ease of use for people working on site; reduced impact on the planet and lower running costs.”

The Genquip Groundhog product meets all our needs and helps us get closer to our goals to reduce our impact on the planet. We’ve experienced excellent service, including full product training. We’re sure the site teams using them will be as satisfied as we are with our decision to choose Fusion Pulse.”

BAM Nuttall purchased three SWO7600 Fusion Pulse static welfare units; four GPO500 mobile Fusion Pulse Groundhog welfare units.
