New Developments At Portable Space Enhance Commitment To Customer Service
A Suffolk business is announcing a number of new initiatives to meet growing business needs and strengthen its commitment to delivering the highest standards of customer service.
Portable Space, which provides innovative solutions for secure storage and additional accommodation, has seen increasing demand for its products over the last 12 months and is on track to deliver 20% growth in turnover.
In conjunction with its landlord David Black & Son Ltd, the company has also expanded the facilities at its Bacton headquarters with the creation of a new workshop, storage and areas for preparing containers for conversion.
Supporting the business growth are two new appointments: Rob Luck as Business Development Manager and Catherine Hodgson as Hire Controller. An existing member of the team, Michelle Macguire, has been promoted to Senior Hire Controller.
The new additions bring the total number of people to 36.
As Business Development Manager, Rob Luck is tasked with helping the continued growth of the hire and sales departments. In addition to focusing on new and existing customer relationships, Rob is also gathering important client feedback to inform future development of the company’s products and services.
In her role as Hire Controller, Catherine Hodgson helps customers to find the best solution to meet their specific requirements. From initial contact through to delivery, she liaises with colleagues to ensure that everything runs smoothly – including confirming arrangements for delivery and installation.
Mark Black, Managing Director of Portable Space said: “A commitment to not only meeting but surpassing customer expectations is at the heart of our culture here and these latest developments will ensure that we achieve this objective. Growing our team to meet business needs, together with improving facilities, is an important part of this mission.
“We are also working on a new website to be launched later this year, thanks to support from the New Anglia Local Enterprise Partnership’s Small Grant Scheme. This will enhance the online experience for our existing customers and provide the information needed for those new to portable storage and accommodation.”
Portable Space, which was established in 2002, provides innovative solutions for secure storage or additional accommodation, including shipping containers, steel cabins and modular buildings to sectors such as education, construction, renewables, self-storage and the domestic market – across the UK and internationally.
