
Introducing the Renewable Power Hub
Built inside our Central Support Office in Newcastle, this data centre houses the technical support team whose mission is to monitor all Nixon Hire renewable power products as well as supporting the customers who hire them from us.
The Renewable Power Hub was created as a direct result of our dedication to exceeding customer expectations, to provide solutions that not only meet current needs but also anticipate future challenges. Efficiency is the name of the game in renewables so operating within the parameters of the equipment is key.
Why was the Renewable Power Hub created?
It was created to enable a status shift for the Renewable Power Division from being reactive to proactive. By leveraging real-time insights and adopting a customer-first approach, we are able to monitor performance, predict potential issues and offer tailored recommendations which align with our customers’ goals and reinforce our position as a trusted sustainability partner.
Ensuring we can deliver an exceptional level of customer service and product efficiency is key for Nixon Hire so we are really pleased to have brought to life an industry-leading customer data centre which supports all renewable power products and seamlessly manages data, reporting and supporting processes.
We are in the process of developing more purpose-built IT solutions to enable our team to make even better use of the live data and telemetry we have for our product assets. To identify problems before they occur more quickly and efficiently, as well as allowing us to make the necessary changes to the system remotely, without needed to visit site.

Iain Dover
Internal Operations Manager

Iain comes from a technical background, with a strong focus on driving reliability and proactive response to site issues. In his role he oversees remote operational support, including performance and data monitoring as well as customer reporting to enable enhanced performance.

Gary Scott
Technical Product Support

Gary joined Nixon Hire in 2022 and has been the backbone of the Product Support team for the last two years. Throughout that time he has built his knowledge of all the products Nixon Hire offer, ensuring he can provide quick resolutions to any problems as they arise.

Ganiyu Ogunsiji
Technical Product Support

Ganiyu has worked in the renewable power sector for many years and has recently completed his Masters in Mechanical Engineering, focusing on solar power generation. With a wealth of technical knowledge he resolves issues as quickly as possible to mitigate the risk of customer downtime.
These measurements demonstrate just how vital the Renewable Power Hub is and are a key indicator of the efficiency of the systems being used and the teams fluency in using them - they are a testament to their knowledge, skill and dedication to their role. In the coming months, these numbers should only improve and enable a shift from reactiveness to proactiveness when monitoring site installations.
