Maxi’s Mates is our Chosen Charity for 2024

By Cleveland Group in Industry News

This year, Cleveland employees will be fundraising for Maxi’s Mates Rescue & Rehoming Centre in Teesside.

After gaining significant attention for its efforts to expand its kennel at their rehoming centre, Maxi's Mates was a clear choice for Cleveland's charity of the year.

Based in Dunsdale, Maxi’s Mates’ mission to rescue, rehabilitate, and rehome dogs in need has helped countless homeless dogs in the local area. Originated in 2012, by Jane Galliford and Michelle Cooper, the charity was set up after a dog named Maxi was found as a stray, left without a home for over a year.

After successfully rescuing and finding Maxi a new home, Jane and Michelle have continued raising awareness of abandoned dogs like Maxi, expanding their team, and saving hundreds of other helpless dogs.

We are so thankful to Cleveland for choosing Maxi’s Mates as its charity of the year. The support from a prominent local business such as Cleveland is imperative to enable us to continue our work rehoming dogs in the Teesside area and give the care needed to those awaiting their forever homes. We look forward to learning about the upcoming fundraisers Cleveland have in store for 2024.

Despite the support from their local community, Maxi's Mates still needs assistance. We've already made contributions to the charity, including donations of clean blankets and dog food, which have been greatly appreciated. Additionally, the two fundraising days that have been held so far, have raised £735 in funds, with many more events planned for the coming months.

With our ongoing contributions, we aim to provide even more support in the future to Maxi’s Mates.
