Wernick Events Have Record Breaking 2016!
2016 was another successful year for Wernick Events, seeing the team break UK records, work with high profile clients and win awards for their excellent work.
Wernick Events worked with a record number of high profile clients in 2016, providing equipment for prestigious events like the London Marathon and Barrack Obama’s Young Leaders Q&A at Lindley Hall. Last year also saw the Seating team break a UK flat-floor seating record on their first ever touring show, providing seating for the UK leg of Rod Stewart’s tour. The team supplied over 23,000 seats at Southampton’s Rose Bowl Cricket Ground– installing and numbering them in just 40 hours.
Wernick’s hard work during the year did not go unrecognised by their clients. Nick Wright, Equipment & Supplies Manager at Cancer Research UK commented “a huge thank you to all at Wernick Event Hire for their tremendous support across all of our events in 2016.”
Not only have Wernick Events’ clients been noticing their hard-work but two separate award bodies have too! In December Wernick Events were named Event Supplier of the Year by the National Association of Outdoor Events. Then in January the team were shortlisted for Best Structure Supplier at the Access All Areas Event Production Awards.
To allow the business to continue its excellent work, 2017 will see an initial £1million investment in new cabin fleet, including a range of shower pods for the Events Accommodation team.
General Manager, Liam Muldoon, who this year received his 10 year Service Award, told us; “We were extremely proud to win the National Outdoor Event Supplier of the Year award in 2016, this could not have been possible without a considerable amount of hard work from all our staff. While 2016 has been a great year for us, we want to strive to make 2017 even better. The £1m investment in new fleet will also ensure that we maintain a very high quality of product in to the next year and beyond.”
