In our latest blog, we take a look at the history of Mr Box and how the Suffolk-based business has become an integral service offered by Mobile Mini UK.

The Mr Box division is a unique part of Mobile Mini that first joined our family in December 2016. The team can supply the whole of the UK from a range of local depots and approach business with the same values that all Mobile Mini branches hold themselves accountable too.

 In the beginning … 

Originally formed in the year 2000, Mr Box has built a strong reputation for creativity and quality, regularly supplying secure storage containers, steel portable accommodation units, container conversions and chemicals stores. The team is also a niche supplier to the fast-growing self-storage industry. Equipment is offered both for sale and rental and as either new or second-hand. Customers work in a diverse range of industries including shipping, self-storage, construction, the public sector, leisure, events, distribution, civil and marine engineering and defence.

Much like Mobile Mini, Mr Box has always seen the ability for the container to play an important role in many businesses – primarily as a solution to secure storage and office space needs. The acquisition of Mr Box strengthened the Mobile Mini existing container hire and sales operation in the UK, helping to extend our presence beyond construction and into new markets such as retail, hospitality and education. We planned to grow and develop the business over time and this continues to be the case today, as many new arrivals continue to join the existing team that transitioned over to Mobile Mini five years ago.

Mr Box containers are available in a range of sizes from 8 to 40 foot long and in various designs. They are strong and versatile, which means they can be used for temporary or permanent storage purposes or can be converted for a multitude of other uses. The team has completed bespoke projects designed to work as offices, canteen units, workshops, accommodation units and chemical stores to name but a few. Just like Mobile Mini solutions, containers are stackable so even when faced with limited space, they can still provide a large amount of storage.
