CB Solutions are going Green

Specialist in fenestration and internal fire-doorsets CB Solutions U.K. Ltd are striving forward with sustainability as we move closer towards NetZero 2050.

CB Solutions U.K. Ltd based in Lissett, Brandesburton, local manufacturers of windows and doors serving the modular and commercial sector are turning everything green this week as part of a Go Green Week Campaign to help raise awareness of the importance of sustainabilty.

Lead by Kerry-Ann Taylor Managing Director of CB Solutions and a committee of employees an innovative programme of events has been organised to promote the importance of sustainabilty this week. Throughout the week staff memebers are running and cycling to work, taking part in plastic free Thursday, recycling old clothes, taking part in Green Toolbox talks and much much more to raise awareness and engagement. The week will finish on Friday with many dressing in Green and donating a pound to the Charity Tiggy Winkles as well as staff and their families taking part in a beach clean up at Bridlington.

Kerry Taylor said “I have absolutely loved planning this week with the team. Sustainabilty is so incredibly important and I feel a huge sense of responsibilty running a manufacturing facility to help educate and raise awareness amongst our team. We are doing our bit and will continue to improve further on our aims to reduce our Carbon Footprint. We already have a Biomass Heating System, recycle our waste as well as use fully recyled products where possible. The fact finding has been extremly educational and has really raised my awareness and I hope this week really makes staff think that little bit more about how just a couple of changes can go along way to helping us all work together to achieve Net Zero 2050.”

CB Solutions have and will continue to invest in resources, training, procurement and products that will further support their environment and help them move forward in the effort to reach full netzero by 2050.
