MHM expand stage 5 Generator range

By MHM Group in Industry News

MHM, a leading provider of machinery to the UK and Ireland hire industry, has expanded its range of Stage 5 generators.

Hire companies can now purchase Stage 5-compliant generators up to 500kva from MHM’s Ready to Rent range. The range previously covered Stage 5 generators from 3kva to 160kva. Features include the exclusive MHM-Gen automatic engine protection system, which shuts down the engine to protect it from damage caused by issues such as low oil pressure and high engine temperature.

Brad Ireland, Group Sales Director for MHM, said: “Hirers want a robust, reliable product that can stand up to the rigours of modern construction sites. The extension of our Ready to Rent range means that we can now meet those needs right up to 500kva.”

Designed specifically for the UK and Ireland hire markets, the Ready to Rent range are powered by Honda petrol or Kohler, Yanmar, Kubota and Iveco diesel engines. They are all HVO compatible as standard, with optional extras including telematics for accurate insights into power usage on site. Also available on selected models as an option is MHM’s Eco Auto Stop/Start function which reduces noise, fuel consumption and carbon emissions.

“Hirers want to be able to offer their clients ways to reduce emissions that do not compromise on generator quality and reliability,” added Brad. “That is why we’ve worked closely with our engine suppliers to ensure that all our generators can take HVO fuel - and why we can offer additional carbon savings with stop/start technology.”

The Ready to Rent range comprises multi-voltage models, providing additional flexibility for hirers; and uses quality components such as Mecce-Alte or Linz alternators. The generators have road-towing capability for units up to 100kva.

Incorporated in 2010, MHM has rapidly grown in a leading supplier of equipment to the UK and Irish rental markets. It specialises in power generation, fluid storage, site lighting, and solar-hybrid-generators. All products are available for purchase or cross-hire; however, MHM only hires equipment to hire companies, never directly to end users. It also offers finance and leasing packages.

“Our continued growth depends on maintaining long term relationships with hire companies,” said Brad. “That means robust, reliable equipment, a focus on reducing emissions, and making it as easy as possible for rental companies to access our products.”
