Genquip Groundhog scoop two awards at the 2022 Hire Awards of Excellence
Genquip Groundhog the South Wales-based manufacturer of advanced, sustainable temporary accommodation units is celebrating a top honour and a highly commended at the 2022 Hire Awards of Excellence held on the 7th of May at Grosvenor House, London.
Their unique Virtual Showroom was awarded first prize in the ‘Website of the Year’ section. The trophy was presented to Genquip Groundhog’s sales and marketing manager, Peter Beach, by the stand-up comedian, host, and comedy writer, Jo Caulfield.
Genquip-Groundhog employed the use of advanced modern web technology to develop their ‘Virtual Showroom’. The ‘Virtual Showroom’ has been designed to offer all Genquip Groundhog clients access to vital information such as; weights, dimensions, and specifications so that their clients get exactly the right unit for their purpose. A firm can access the showroom via the Groundhog website (www.groundhog.co.uk) and with just one click the showroom will open up. The viewer is greeted by an actual Genquip Groundhog employee who explains how to navigate the many showroom sectors, and what they can expect to discover. There are display boards of each of the Genquip Groundhog products which are ‘clickable’ and will instantly display all the features and benefits of the product.
In addition, the Genquip Groundhog Unisex SolarLoo was granted ‘highly commended’ status in the ‘Hire Product of the Year’ section. The Unisex SolarLoo is powered by a combination of a highly efficient 130amp power AGM battery, charged via a 2-panel solar system with a built-in controller, which minimises carbon emissions.
Commenting on winning these awards, Peter said, “We had an amazing evening, and to scoop the ‘Website of the Year’ trophy was a perfect end to the evening! We are also proud to receive a ‘highly commended’ for the Unisex SolarLoo, a product that is proving to be very popular with hire and construction firms. The organisers should be applauded for laying on such a great occasion, everything went extremely smoothly, and some fantastic food was served. We are over the moon!” added Peter.
The Hire Awards of Excellence are organised by the leading hire trade association, the Hire Association Europe (HAE). The awards celebrate the amazing achievements of hire and supply companies across the UK's plant, tool, equipment, and event hire industry. They are held annually.
