Their Virtual Showroom has been listed as a finalist in the Website of the Year category and their Unisex SolarLoo is also a contender for the top prize in the Hire Product of the Year section.

The Genquip Groundhog Virtual Showroom has been designed to offer all Genquip-Groundhog hire clients access to vital information such as; weights, dimensions and specifications in order that their clients get exactly the right unit for their purpose. A hire firm can access the showroom via the Groundhog website (www.groundhog.co.uk) and with just one click the showroom will open up. The viewer is greeted by an actual Genquip-Groundhog employee who explains how to navigate the many showroom sectors, and what they can expect to discover. There display boards of each of the Genquip-Groundhog products which are ‘clickable’ and will instantly display all the features and benefits of the product. Behind the display panels are temporary buildings that can be ‘walked into’ so that the hire desk can see exactly what accessories each one is fitted out with.  The viewer can stroll around the building and view all the various compartments.

The Unisex SolarLoo is a combined male and female toilet system that is designed for use on construction sites.  The female area features a low flush eco-toilet with a 400 litre waste tank. The male compartment also has low flush eco-toilet and two 1200mm waterless urinals. Also included is a stainless steel wash basin with two warm water taps. Both female and male users of the Unisex SolarLoo benefit from warm water supplied by an on-board heating system, 12V LED lighting with PIR, liquid soap and paper towel dispenser. Genquip-Groundhog placed carbon emission reduction, lower fuel costs and empowering the use of renewables at the heart of Unisex SolarLoo.

Commenting on this achievement, Peter Beach Genquip-Groundhog’s sales and marketing manager said, “We are absolutely delighted to be nominated, we believe that our Virtual Showroom will aid hire managers to view our products and make informed choices without having to leave their desks.”

“Our Unisex SolarLoo is already in use on a number of sites around the country, helping to save many litres of fuel, lowering costs and delivering safe, hygienic welfare facilities to all site workers,” added Peter.

The Hire Awards of Excellence are organised by the hire trade association - the Hire Association Europe (HAE). The winners will be announced on 7th May at a glittering ceremony in London’s Grosvenor House.
