Bespoke off-site construction specialist Elite Systems has announced two senior promotions, as the company prepares to expand further in the coming months.

The Cleckheaton-based modular construction company, has named Marcus Sutcliffe as managing director, while former senior quantity surveyor Jason Bowker has been promoted to commercial manager.  The promotions come as Elite readies itself to relocate its 30 staff to a new purpose-built 18,700 sq ft factory in 2018.

Commenting on the promotions, Marcus said: “We have invested significantly in the business in the past few years, expanding our current factory then taking the decision to move to new facilities in the near future, and, more recently, redeveloping our website.  I’m very confident in the team we have built at Elite, and Jason and I are well-placed to drive further growth for the company.”

Marcus now has overall responsibility for the direction of the business, while Jason will work alongside Marcus sourcing new business leads, as well as taking the lead on marketing, supervising contracts manager and monitoring pricing and costs.

Newly promoted commercial manager Jason Bowker commented: “I am happy to have been promoted and relish the prospect of the new challenge. This is an exciting time for Elite, following our appointment on the Fusion21 Education Modular Buildings Framework and the NHS Shared Business Services Modular Buildings Framework earlier this year, which will lay the platform for our future success.”

As well as the two promotions, Elite has appointed Erik Thompson as an architectural technician. Erik previously worked as a CAD technician for Sangwin, an educational furniture company, and brings a wealth of knowledge of CAD and REVIT which will allow increase Elite’s architectural design capacity and strengthen its Building Information Modelling (BIM) capability.

Elite Systems specialises in bespoke modular construction and has a strong record of delivering cost-effective, high-quality buildings for the education, health, commercial and industrial sectors, providing both temporary and permanent solutions.

Unlike traditional building projects, off-site construction typically requires just a few weeks on site - around 75 per cent of the building is manufactured in Elite Systems’ specialist factory, while the company undertakes groundworks on-site.  Once on-site, Elite’s installation team connects the building to utilities and, if required, finishes the internal decoration.
