Tenmat - Official Partner of the Manchester Society of Architects
Bringing our passive fire protection expertise to more architects in the region
We are delighted to announce that Tenmat is now an official partner of the Manchester Society of Architects. As a manufacturer with over 100 years of history in the region, this partnership represents an important landmark.
The affiliation will establish a closer unity between Tenmat’s fire protection products and the next generation of Manchester architects – helping to create safer, better protected buildings across a range of sectors and industries.
Our partnership
Founded in 1865, the Manchester Society of Architects (MSA) is a volunteer organisation that champions current and future architects of the Manchester city region.
Providing a space in which members can socialise, celebrate their work, share ideas, and learn best practices to enhance their professional understanding, the MSA truly gives local architects a voice.
Our partnership with the MSA enables us to provide direct support and expertise around passive fire protection regulations and products. In this way, we can also better understand what challenges regional architects are facing and help them to overcome multiple issues around construction design and fire safety.
BRINGING ARCHITECTS INTO THE FIRE PROTECTION JOURNEY
Our architect factory tour offers insights into the manufacturing of intumescent materials and their application within construction. Architects can witness the intumescent in action during a furnace fire test, followed by a review of material installation at our newly opened training centre.
We welcome participants to explore product utilisation from design to installation, gaining a complete understanding of our role in project design and site inspections. We also offer tailored CPD sessions at our onsite facility to provide as much practical value to architects as we possibly can. We truly are invested in bringing architects much more into the passive fire protection process and our partnership with the MSA is going to be very helpful in making that happen.
