Aico partners with Lambeth Council and Wates

Lambeth Council recently partnered with Aico and Wates to host an exciting Resident Engagement Day that proved to be a great success.

Throughout the day, residents had the opportunity to go onboard one of Aico’s state-of-the-art mobile units, getting hands on with the same fire and carbon monoxide (CO) alarms which are installed in their own properties. Relationship Manager Rachel Wright toured the Lambeth residents around the mobile unit and delivered several educational sessions.

One of our key aims here at Aico for Resident Engagement Days, is to empower and educate residents in home life safety, particularly in the importance of alarm testing. Testing the alarms in your home provides complete peace of mind that they will alert you in the unfortunate event of a fire.

It was essential for the residents to enhance their knowledge of the devices installed in their homes, understanding the types of alarms, their sounds, and how to test them.

Throughout the day, residents expressed that they were previously unaware they should be regularly testing their alarms, and so were grateful to have an introduction into how and when to conduct a test. This is just one of the many examples of how Aico’s involvement in the Resident Engagement Day has directly benefitted Lambeth residents.

In addition, the Resident Engagement Day provided residents a greater insight into Aico’s latest Internet of Things (IoT) technology – the Connected Home Solution.

Aico’s Connected Home Solution addresses the needs of social landlords and their residents, via one easy to use platform. The Ei1000G Gateway acts as the hub, gathering a vast range of data from connected devices, creating actionable insights and feeding them into the online HomeLINK Portal.

Aico’s HomeLINK Environmental Sensors monitor humidity, temperature, and carbon dioxide levels, producing valuable insights into issues such as damp and mould indoor air quality and compliance.

Lambeth will soon be piloting the Connected Home Solution in Albert Carr Gardens, with key contractor Wates installing Aico devices into the properties. This will enable Lambeth Council to transition from a reactive state to a proactive state, led by data.

By connecting Aico’s 3000 Series with the Ei3000MRF Module installed, Lambeth will be able to monitor the compliance of their fire alarm systems, including alarm tampering or head removals.

Feedback from the residents was fantastic, with all attendees having an enjoyable and educational experience. Both Aico and Wates contributed to a number of giveaways for the residents and tenants of Albert Carr Gardens, as well as a raffle draw to close the day.
