As of 2024, there are approximately 11.7 million disabled individuals of voting age in the UK. This estimate is derived from the combination of overall voter registration data and the prevalence of disability among adults.

  1. Total Voting-Age Population: There were about 48.8 million registered voters in the UK as of December 2021 (Office for National Statistics).
  2. Disability Prevalence: Around 24% of working-age adults in the UK have a disability (House of Commons Library).

By applying the 24% disability rate to the voting-age population, we can estimate that about 11.7 million disabled individuals are eligible to vote in the UK.
