Modular walkway - Crystal Palace Training Ground
REQUIREMENT:
The design and construction of a raised modular walkway for photographers use. The structure offered an elevated vantage point above spectators, ensuring optimal coverage of the football pitch.
Our modular walkways excel in outdoor environments such as this for various reasons. Firstly, they undergo galvanisation to guarantee strong protection against rust. Galvanisation is a process where a layer of zinc coating is applied to act as a dependable barrier against moisture and oxygen.
Furthermore, all components (except for the platforms and ramp legs) receive a premium powder coating treatment. This coating provides a durable finish that outperforms conventional paint, ensuring our products endure even the toughest outdoor conditions.
To also ensure continuous slip resistance, our walkways have strategically positioned openings that facilitate water drainage, preventing the formation of puddles.
CAD DRAWINGS:
Our surveyor conducted an on-site assessment to gather measurements. Subsequently, our internal drawing team used these to create 2D and 3D illustrations of the walkway.
END RESULT:
Upon completion of the enabling works, our fitting team swiftly installed a fully compliant walkway system on a level concrete pad, achieving this feat in just three days.
The walkway was powder-coated white to seamlessly integrate with the surrounding aesthetics of the stadium.

- Continuous Handrail - This handrail system ensures that users always have a support to hold onto.
- 1100mm High Rail - these handrails attach to any level sections.
- Standard Colour: Black - Our walkways have a powder-coated black finish that is more durable than typical paint.
- Adjustable Telescopic Legs - These can be adapted to suit various threshold heights.
- Fully Compliant Step Units - The perfect companion to any ramp or walkway setup, delivering the necessary access for able-bodied users. They can also function as standalone units, operating independently of the Rapid Ramp System.
- Solid Hoarding - This skirt is purposefully designed to deter unauthorised access to the underside of the walkway, making it a frequent choice for schools and other public buildings.
