McAvoy secures places on each of the four Lots on the Southern Modular Building Solutions Framework.
The McAvoy Group has become the only company to have been awarded a place on each of the four Lots within the multi-million pound Southern Modular Building Solutions Framework for a range of modular contracts in Southern England.
The Framework for the South East, South West and London authorities has a total spend value of up to £600m.
Lot 1 will include standard single and double classrooms for short to medium term use that will be purchased or hired, with the Framework suppliers providing a full turnkey installation solution, including services.
Lot 2 will comprise a range of bespoke modular accommodation types for the short to medium term use and will be designed to client briefs.
Lot 3 will include a range of bespoke permanent modular buildings with a design lifespan in excess 60 years, spanning from 4,6 or 8 classroom school extensions to a multi-storey accommodation block. Values in this lot will range from £100,000 to £3m.
The fourth Lot has been specified as including bespoke permanent modular buildings valued at £3m+ with a design life in excess of 60 years.
The scope of delivery for Lots 3 and 4 will be the full design and construction of the building to the client’s design and layout.
Mini competitions will determine the outcome of each contract within the four Lots.
The McAvoy Group’s Managing Director, Eugene Lynch, said: “McAvoy’s success on all four Lots of the Southern Modular Building Solutions Framework highlights the breadth and quality of our service offering to clients across a range of sectors, as well as our agility in responding effectively to a variety of client requirements.”
McAvoy also recently became the first offsite modular construction company in the UK to achieve BIM Level 2 certification. In doing so it reinforced its position as a leading provider of construction services within the education, health, leisure/accommodation and commercial/infrastructure sectors.
It is also the only offsite modular construction company to be represented within The Offsite Management School, a recently-established industry-wide leadership group aimed at helping suppliers meet the challenges facing the construction industry over the next five years.
With two state-of-the-art manufacturing facilities at Lisburn and Dungannon, McAvoy has the capacity to deliver large fast-track projects throughout the UK and Ireland. It has delivered more than 3 million m2 of modular accommodation for the education, health, commercial, infrastructure and hospitality sectors using its ‘Think Smart, Build Smart.’ mindset.
