Hemsec’s structurally insulated panels (SIPs) Fabrication Service

By Hemsec Manufacturing Ltd in Article

Hemsec’s structurally insulated panels (SIPs) fabrication service provides customers with precision engineered SIP panels to increase efficiency on site and reduce labour and waste costs. With no cutting required on site, opting for this service helps customers to reduce mess and minimise risks associated with cutting.

Our state-of-the-art panel optimisation system will review panel cutting lists to provide a value-engineered order prior to beginning the SIPs manufacturing process. This helps to reduce costs, prevent unnecessary waste and reduce environmental impact.

Through using the latest technologies customers have the flexibility to fabricate Hemsec 100mm-200mm SIP panels with a rebate of up to 50mm.

Key benefits of Hemsec's SIPs fabrication include:

  • Reduces construction waste
  • Improves cost efficiency
  • No cutting is required on-site which reduces risk
  • Precision-engineered solution
  • Minimises environmental impact

Hemsec Structural Insulated Panels (SIPs)

Hemsec Structural Insulated Panels (SIPs) are PUR panels that are manufactured using an injection method between two oriented strand boards (OSB/3). SIPs can be used to construct thermally efficient, high-quality buildings.

Hemsec SIPs are BBA Certified and carry the PEFC sustainability certification for the OSB/3 facing board. Panels are extensively tested for Structural, Acoustic and Thermal properties, including Fire Resistance. Hemsec SIPs are B1 fire rated and when used as part of a through-wall build up they pass the requirements of BS476 Part 21 fire resistance of load bearing walls and have achieved up to 75 minutes fire rating.

Non-load bearing walls can achieve up to a 90-minute fire rating (BS476 Part 22:1987).
