Wernick Refurbished Buildings Moving to New Site

By Wernick Refurbished Buildings in Industry News

As part of the Wernick Group’s continued expansion, Wernick Refurbished Buildings Ltd is relocating to a new site in Shipton, near York.

Only 6 miles away from their existing premises, the new site is nearly three times the size of the old one, at over 9.5 acres. Alan Barnes, Wernick Refurbished Buildings’ General Manager, is looking forward to putting the new space to good use. He commented “The increase in storage space is obviously going to be very useful, and not just for the Company. Having a wider range of products in stock means we can turn things around for our customers much more quickly. Another exciting benefit of the new site is the amount of covered factory space; nearly five times what we have now. This gives us the opportunity to dramatically increase our factory output.”

The site will need some development, including the laying of hard standing and removal of some existing buildings. Completion of these works is likely to allow the business to move in the summer of 2015.

Wernick Group Chief Executive, Simon Doran, commented “The existing production facility could not keep pace with demand, so the relocation to Shipton provides an excellent opportunity to significantly increase our market share of the UK pre-owned building sector. The move also compliments other group expansion plans which include the imminent opening of a 9 acre factory facility in South Wales for our new build manufacturing company, Wernick Buildings Ltd.”
