HMG Paints Supports Apprenticeship Programmes - Tales From The Riverbank

HMG Paints has spotlighted both people development and future growth. Featuring a showcase of staff within the business who have succeeded in both apprenticeship programmes as well as internal initiatives, our announcement of "Decorative Colour of the Year", as well as joining key industry associations.

Firstly, HMG started February on a strong note, as we set out to highlight various success stories within the business during National Apprenticeship Week. Throughout the week, HMG took the opportunity to showcase the wide range of apprenticeship pathways that have played a key role across the business.

With many of HMG’s leaders having started their careers as apprentices, apprentice programmes continue to play an important role at HMG, helping staff to build the technical expertise, industry knowledge and future leadership skills that they require, which will assist in taking the business forward for future generations.

Examples in the success of apprenticeship programmes can be seen from across the business at HMG, from employees moving into leadership roles to apprentices gaining experience in areas such as marketing, finance and laboratory work, demonstrating the value these pathways bring to both individual development and the wider business.

To celebrate National Apprenticeship Week, HMG highlighted a range of apprentice stories from across different departments on site. This gave staff the opportunity to share key takeaways from their programmes and demonstrate the value of apprenticeships in practice. Throughout the week, a different employee was featured each day, offering their perspective and experiences of apprenticeships across HMG’s online channels.

To round off the week, various apprentice stories were shared in an interview-styled format across our social channels, sharing their views on the apprenticeship they did, what they learnt throughout the apprenticeship process and the perks of doing an apprenticeship within manufacturing.
