Maxi Space Delivers a Strong Showing at Education Estates 2026
Education Estates 2026 took place on 20 and 21 October at Manchester Central, where the Maxi Space team spent both days at stand 641, having meaningful conversations about modular buildings within the education sector.
The event paired a multi-stream conference with an exhibition of innovative solutions, and it hosted an awards ceremony celebrating excellence in the sector. The focus throughout was educational infrastructure, with the Department for Education as an event partner.
Getting the Stand Ready
Preparations for Education Estates took place on 19 October, when the team worked to get everything in place ahead of the two days.
Ahead of the first morning, the units were lifted into place at the venue; a fair demonstration of how modular buildings are delivered. They are manufactured off-site and then lifted into position, rather than built up piece by piece where they stand.
With the example modular classroom in place, the final preparations could get underway, making sure that everything was ready for visitors to explore when the exhibition opened.
Exploring the Modular Classroom
The two-bay modular classroom was in the spotlight at stand 641, giving visitors the opportunity to step inside and experience the space first-hand.
Along with the classroom itself, visitors had the chance to explore the virtual reality experience, showing completed education modular solution projects. A range of internal and external finishes was also displayed, including brick slip and cladding options, as well as different flooring solutions. Visitors could also converse about projects with the senior architect and discuss finance options with UniLink Finance.
Having a modular classroom at the exhibition provided a chance to gain a better understanding of the spaces and solutions that can be provided for the education sector.
Connecting with the Education Sector
Across the two days, stand 641 provided an excellent opportunity to meet with industry professionals, share insightful ideas, and discuss the role of modular buildings in supporting schools, colleges, and universities.
The team were on hand during the event to answer questions, discuss projects, and share knowledge of modular construction.
Also, it was a pleasure to be alongside Planning Learning Spaces in Practice at the event, sharing knowledge and ideas on the development of educational spaces.
Highly Commended for Education Modular Provider of the Year
One of the biggest highlights of Education Estates 2026 came on the evening of the first day of the event. The team attended the Education Estates Awards at the Kimpton Clocktower Hotel in Manchester.
The team were delighted to be recognised as Highly Commended in the Education Modular Provider of the Year category, marking a fantastic achievement for Maxi Space and everyone involved.
This recognition reflects the hard work and dedication of the team, and the commitment to delivering high-quality modular solutions that support the evolving needs of the education sector.
Looking Ahead
Education Estates 2026 was a fantastic opportunity to showcase the modular solutions, connect with professionals within the education sector and celebrate the Highly Commended recognition.
