New £5 million Fleet Investment from Wernick

By Wernick Hire Ltd in Industry News

Wernick Hire is making an investment of over £5 million in new welfare units which incorporate industry-leading energy saving technology. These new, Fusion Pulse welfare units with solar technology will substantially reduce the amount of carbon emitted on construction sites, and minimise fuel bills for Wernick’s clients.

Wernick Hire will purchase 110 mobile units and 100 static units over the next 18 months, in a bid to expand its eco-friendly Greenspace range of products.

The new units are part of Genquip’s innovative Fusion Pulse 30 range, designed to celebrate 30 years since the first Groundhog welfare unit was produced for the UK rental market.

Sales & Marketing Manager at Groundhog, Peter Beach told us; “We’re excited to be launching our new Fusion Pulse units to celebrate 30 years of welfare innovation from Groundhog. With the new range, Wernick Hire’s clients will experience an up to 80% reduction in their carbon emissions through the use of hybrid generators and solar panels. They will also benefit from the Groundhog Shield Telemetry system which allows the units to be tracked and monitored on a daily basis. “

Wernick will also be launching 5 metre (16ft) GPO500 Fusion Pulse mobile units which include a 7 man canteen and a separate office. These new units will also be fitted with the Groundhog Fusion Pulse system, hybrid generator and solar panels to improve energy efficiency.

Jonathan Wernick, Deputy Managing Director of Wernick Hire told us “Wernick Hire has always sought to be an industry leader, providing the highest standard of site accommodation possible, and moving forward with innovative new ideas to improve the construction industry. These new units will allow our clients to cut carbon emissions and save on fuel bills, while making no compromises on the comfort of their site operatives.”
