UK Art Lantern Festival
Dating back 2000 years the Chinese Lantern Festival is a celebration marking the end of Chinese New Year and the beginning of Spring. The festival comprises of an array of exotic delights; with traditional lion dancing, Cantonese Cuisine and of course, beautifully coloured silk lanterns.
This year, with the help of Wernick Events, Young’s Investment brought this colourful spectacle to Manchester’s Trafford Centre for the first ever UK Art Lantern Festival.
The festival is arranged as winding path through a myriad of lanterns, some up to 20ft high. Disney Characters, UK and Chinese landmarks and even the famous Terracotta army are created in silk to amaze guests as they wander between Kung-Fu displays and acrobatic shows.
Wernick were chosen for their excellent products and services. Monica Zhao, Finance Assistant at Young’s told us; “Wernick offered the best products and service and the best customer reviews, along with the best quotation.”
Wernick provided 19 spacious accommodation units to house the troupes of actors, dancers and organisers who travelled all the way from China to bring the festival to life. The units furnished the performers with sleeping space, showers, storage and a personal workspace. Canteens and office space were also supplied in the form of adaptable portable units. Anti-Vandal storage cabins offered a secure space for costumes and lanterns to be safely stored. Miss Zhao continued; “The sleeping cabins were clean and comfortable for our staff to live inside, and were of great quality.”
Miss Zhao told us that Young’s will definitely be recommending Wernick to others in the future; “The excellent services, quality products and understanding of their customers are the main reasons we will recommend Wernick to other companies.”
