Sunbelt Rentals expands presence in Inverness, Scotland with new depot

By Sunbelt Rentals UK & Ireland in Industry News

Sunbelt Rentals is delighted to announce the opening of its newest depot in Inverness, Scotland.

By expanding our offering in Scotland to provide broad rental solutions to our customers across the UK, this exciting move also supports our ongoing commitment to both Our Planet and to sustainable equipment.

Situated in Seafield Road, Inverness, the new depot is perfectly placed to serve the requirements of Inverness, Moray and the Scottish Highlands and will be fully equipped with plant, tools, powered access, utilities, and traffic management equipment. As the largest rental solutions provider in the UK, we’re continually seeking out and investing in solutions that help to both lower emissions and contribute to an environmentally friendly way of working.

We are leading the curve in greener equipment and offer an extensive range of greener solutions which not only reduce emissions but can significantly reduce fuel costs. We are very excited to share these new products with our Inverness depot to support our ongoing commitment to sustainability and contribute towards Scotland’s efforts to combat climate change.

The Scottish Government have pledged that by 2030, they aim to generate 50% of Scotland’s overall energy consumption from renewable sources, and by 2050 aim to have decarbonised their energy system almost completely. * Alongside our core supply chain partners, we are continuing to research and invest in fuels and technologies of the future, with a big focus being on renewable energy solutions.

In addition, our Battery Storage Units, which are designed to work alongside power sources such as fuel powered generators or a mains electric supply to create a hybrid power solution, reduce fuel consumption and cost. By also providing periods of silent power, they work to reduce carbon emissions by an average of 50-80%. Equipment such as our Eco-Lync smart energy system enable you to regulate and monitor power distribution in real-time, which in turn reduces your energy consumption, fuel costs and carbon emissions by up to 80%.

These products further align with Scotland’s climate change goals, particularly the Climate Change (Emissions Reduction Targets) (Scotland) Act of 2019, which changed the target for reducing all ‘greenhouse gas emissions’ to 100% by 2045. The Scottish Government propose to tackle this through ensuring that businesses and industries are using low carbon technologies, and working in a way that reduces carbon emissions. * We are constantly sourcing more carbon friendly products, which we are excited to share with our Inverness depot in an effort to ensure our ongoing commitment to sustainable equipment.

With a host of team members, our new Inverness depot will boast a highly skilled and knowledgeable team to support customers in selecting the right equipment in their upcoming projects. With a focus on creating exceptional customer experiences, we’re committed to providing expert advice from an empowered group of teammates.

“We’re excited to open our new depot in Inverness to provide our customers in the region with a full Sunbelt Rentals solution. This larger space allows us to offer our customers a full 360 solution and reflects our dedication to supporting our customers’ evolving needs of sustainable products.”
