By Sunbelt Rentals UK & Ireland in Industry News

Sunbelt Rentals UK and Ireland, the UK’s largest rental equipment provider, has partnered with Shindaiwa, a leading supplier of welder generators, to introduce the first 100 revolutionary Eco Hybrid welder generators to its Industrial business. The new Eco Hybrid welder generators will be introduced across the depot network on refineries, chemical plants and steelworks in the UK.

This latest investment by Sunbelt Rentals supports our ongoing sustainability commitment to Our Planet, to provide the greenest fleet of rental equipment and lead positive change across the rental industry to deliver a better future.

The 300amp Shindaiwa Eco Hybrid welder generator sets the standard for more environmentally friendly welding solutions by saving customers up to 60% in fuel consumption and CO2 emissions compared to previous eco models*. It is equipped with a number of innovative features from auto stop/start, ultra-quiet technology and a capacitor that works alongside the Stage V diesel engine to deliver responsive power. Units will be supplied with a Chalwyn valve and spark arrestor fitted to ensure they meet the stringent safety requirements of COMAH (Control of Major Accident Hazards) sites.

Jonathan Newport, Managing Director – Specialist Solutions at Sunbelt Rentals comments “As a responsible organisation we’re passionate about investing in new products and technologies to provide our customers with the most innovative and sustainable solutions on the market. Our partnership with Shindaiwa is a significant investment for our market-leading Industrial business and will further solidify our commitment to creating a greener and more sustainable future for everyone.

Steve Smith, Director – Industrial and Lifting at Sunbelt Rentals adds “By introducing the Eco Hybrid welder generator to our fleet we’re able to offer our customers an alternative, greener solution that reduces running costs with significant carbon and fuel savings.

Our relationship with Shindaiwa extends many years and we’ve successfully been supplying their welder generators and ATEX-rated lighting to our Industrial customers for some time. We’re delighted to partner with them to bring a product to market that meets the exacting needs of our Industrial customers, whilst also supporting our commitment to protect our planet and helping our customers meet their sustainability goals.”

We’re happy to be strengthening our relationship with Sunbelt Rentals through this investment by adding the Eco Hybrid welder generator to their fleet. Developing more sustainable solutions for customers is something we share Sunbelt Rentals passion for, making this partnership a natural synergy.
