Nixon Hire appoints new sector leaders to support growth in key markets
Deepening specialist expertise across construction, infrastructure, renewable energy and utilities
Newcastle-upon-Tyne, 8 July 2026 - Nixon Hire has appointed four senior sector leaders as it strengthens its commercial focus and strategy across infrastructure, renewable energy, utilities and construction.
The appointments are Paul Spooner, Director of Strategic Partnerships, Infrastructure; Paul Corson, Head of Strategic Partnerships, Renewable Energy; Samuel Nutter, Head of Strategic Partnerships, Utilities; and Mark Johnson, Head of Strategic Partnerships, Construction.
The appointments bring dedicated sector expertise into four markets that are central to the UK’s built environment, infrastructure delivery and energy transition. They are designed to help customers access more tailored support as site requirements become more complex and expectations around safety, sustainability, compliance and performance continue to increase.
Across these markets, customers are looking for site partners that understand the environments they operate in, not just the equipment they require. Nixon Hire’s new sector specialists will work within the company’s existing commercial structure, bringing additional market knowledge to customer relationships and helping connect customers with the right support across the company’s core offer.
The appointments form part of Nixon Hire’s continued evolution as Experts in Sustainable Sites. They follow two recent developments designed to make the company a more connected and valuable site partner: Pulse, Nixon Hire’s online portal providing customers with clearer performance, carbon and cost data, and its strategic partner network, a selected group of specialist service providers that align with Nixon Hire’s approach, solutions and expertise.
Brian Cornett, CEO of Nixon Hire, commented:
“Customers are asking more of their site partners. They need practical support that reflects how their market works, the standards they need to meet and the outcomes they are trying to achieve around safety, sustainability, efficiency and performance.
“These appointments put experienced sector knowledge closer to our customers, with each bringing strong market understanding, trusted relationships and practical experience in sectors that are central to Nixon Hire’s growth.
“We have made significant progress in building the capabilities behind our Experts in Sustainable Sites strategy. These new roles help bring those capabilities together around the markets where we believe we can add the most value for customers.”
