STACKRIGHT AND NEWSPACE UNITE TO ACCELERATE MODULAR GROWTH AND EXPAND NATIONAL DELIVERY

By Stackright Limited in Industry News

Two established names in modular manufacturing – Stackright and Newspace – have joined forces to strengthen national capacity, broaden customer support, and accelerate delivery for the UK construction sector.

Following several years of successful collaboration, the businesses will now operate as a single, integrated organisation, capable of manufacturing and deploying over 5,000 units per year across strategically located facilities in the North and South of England. The move positions the company as one of the UK’s largest independent producers of modular buildings and portable accommodation, supporting clients ranging from major contractors, national hirers and large-scale housebuilders through to small independent builders and hirers.

The combined businesses employ more than 250 manufacturing and technical specialists, retaining full control of the modular production lifecycle, including design, engineering, fabrication, installation, and aftercare. The integration also brings together the expertise of both direct sales teams, enabling them to combine their skills and decades of experience. This ensures clients receive tailored consultation and the right solution, whether it’s anti-vandal units, sleeping accommodation, or modular buildings, each with its own unique challenges. With over 50 years of collective experience, the team can provide informed recommendations and practical solutions. The transition will be seamless for customers, with existing day-to-day contact routes remaining unchanged.

Leadership to support long-term growth

In line with this new strategic approach, the firms have announced a series of senior leadership changes, with the operating structure being led by:

  • Antonio Ponterio, Group Managing Director
  • Joe Gribben, Group Commercial Director
  • Brett Hogarth, Group Operations Director
  • Wayne Elliott, General Manager (South)

This leadership framework reinforces the organisation’s commitment to service quality, consistency, and regional responsiveness.

Strategic strength backed by GCH Corporation

Stackright and Newspace continue to operate under privately owned parent business GCH Corporation, which brings long-term investment, financial resilience, and a proven manufacturing pedigree with established UK and European operations.

The organisation maintains leading sector certifications, including the Joint Code of Practice (JCoP) and HSG168, underpinned by strong energy performance standards across its portfolio.

Customers and employees also benefit from access to an in-house technical training platform, supporting specialist skills development and scalable workforce capability.

A platform for national programmes

Both businesses already have an established track record of delivering modular solutions for high-profile programmes, supplying Tier One contractors and national housebuilding frameworks. With the integration formalised, customers will see enhanced capacity, faster deployment, and expanded availability of welfare units, portable accommodation, temporary office space, and bespoke modular buildings.

Stackright, headquartered in Skelmersdale with its 90,000 sq/ft facility, is known for its bespoke modular solutions the across construction, rail, and energy sectors, while Newspace, headquartered in Gloucestershire, delivers tailored modular buildings for a variety of industries including welfare, and utilities – ensuring national reach supported by regional expertise.

Antonio Ponterio, Managing Director, commented: “Formalising this partnership is a natural progression after joining forces to deliver multiple successful national programmes. By combining our extensive experience and specialist strengths, we are creating a nation-wide manufacturing platform that can scale quickly, support ambitious build programmes and deliver the standard of quality customers expect.

“This united approach means we are well-positioned to support the sector as it works towards reaching ambitious government targets, supported by the use of sustainable, efficient modular accommodation.”

As a combined force, Stackright and Newspace now present a strengthened proposition for national modular delivery with the firm capable of scaling at pace, responding regionally, servicing nationally, and supporting the construction industry’s long-term needs without compromising quality or availability.
