    An Eco-Friendly Product Offering

Since Nixon Hire was founded in 1967, they have continued to lead the way by introducing innovative products to the market to meet demand and shifts in the industry. As a company they are constantly looking at ways they can reduce their carbon footprint and allow their customers to do the same. One of the ways they have successfully achieved this is to introduce ground-breaking, sustainable and renewable products to their ever-growing hire fleet, including the solar hybrid generator, solar mobile welfare unit and batery storage unit.

By adding products from Nixon Hire’s Renewable Division to their sites, customers can expect to see huge fuel savings and reductions in carbon emissions. Across 2023, Nixon Hire helped sites to harvest 264,000+ kWh of solar gain, save a huge 21,500+ tonnes of carbon emissions and save 7,000,000+ litres of fuel equating to over £9 million in fuel savings!*

    Eco-friendly Depot Operations

Nixon Hire’s eco ethos is continued throughout their own Depot operations, where they have started to adopt measures to maximise energy savings and carbon emission reductions. Solar panels have been added to the roof of their Wolverhampton Depot workshop, where electric vehicle charging points have also been installed. This is only the start of a long-term project which will see further eco-friendly measures being rolled out across their wider Depot network in the years to come.

All of these activities demonstrate how Nixon Hire are taking a leadership role in the transition to a net zero carbon economy.
