Portakabin demonstrates continued commitment to raising standards
Portakabin (Site Accommodation) is proud to have renewed its commitment to the Considerate Constructors Scheme (CCS) for the third year running.
Today, Portakabin (Site Accommodation) makes a commitment to conform to the CCS’s Code of Considerate Practice and work to raise its standards above and beyond it in each building it delivers. The CCS’s Code looks at three key areas:
- Respecting the community
- Caring for the environment
- Valuing the workforce.
Being registered with the CCS indicates Portakabin understands how its construction activity impacts local communities and the environment, as well as its workforce. Through independent monitoring and knowledge sharing, the CCS provides guidance and resources that can help raise standards and build trust across the communities impacted by construction activity.
Mark Fox, Divisional MD, Portakabin (Site Accommodation) comments: “Our sites are monitored bi-annually to ensure we’re delivering to the high standards expected by the CCS. We’ve had some fantastic feedback, including that we provide an excellent, well maintained and inclusive workplace for supporting and encouraging safety and health. This is just another example of the type of high-quality construction site environments Portakabin can provide.
“By registering with the CCS, along with over thousands of others, we are showing our commitment to working together to raise standards in the construction industry, building trust with individuals, communities, and society as a whole.”
The Considerate Constructors Scheme (CCS) is a not-for-profit organisation that works with the construction industry to raise standards and build public trust. Construction sites, organisations and suppliers registered with the CCS across the UK and Ireland are visited and their performance is measured against the CCS’s Code of Considerate Practice (the Code).
