Modular Building Compliance Scheme Meets the Challenges of Part L 2010

Since 2002 the Modular & Portable Building Association has played a role working with the government as a major contributor to ‘off site’ construction, helping to create a fair playing field in competing against its traditional counterparts.

Modular buildings (including single modules, better known as cabins) are no strangers for use in off site construction, with growing awareness over the years. The start of the industry dates back well before the 1940’s with the trade association and still today with founder members began in 1938.
