“ Appointments were kept- and on time. The planning was meticulous and every "t" was crossed and every "i" dotted to ensure that the products were suitable to the needs. More importantly, everyone listened to my requirements and acted accordingly. Too often things go wrong because someone doesnât listen or fully understand the clientâs needs or makes assumptions on behalf of the client. Everything went ahead without hitches or glitches. The Fitters got on with their job and cleaned up after themselves and ensured that everything was working before they left. Good job done. ”

Moneypenny HQ Wrexham
To supply, install and commission 2 aluminium bi-part sliding operator kits, pocket screens, door leaves and associated activation & safety sensors to the new build Moneypenny HQ offices in Wrexham, North Wales.
Established in 2000, Wrexham based Moneypenny are the UK’s leading telephone answering service firm. As part of the company’s growth, Moneypenny enlisted North West Construction and Pochins Construction to help build their dream HQ. With the same budget as that of a ‘normal office’, Moneypenny wanted to build something better.
The 91,000 square foot, £15 million bespoke development project set on a 10 acre plot in Wrexham, was designed to be as environmentally sustainable as possible with features such as rain water recycling, solar energy supplies, ground source heating and natural ventilation helping to improve its eco status. The new HQ can accommodate up to 100 staff over 3 floors, in a building that has been dubbed the ‘best office’ in the UK.
ADC installed 2 new main entrance doors (inner and outer) to the new Moneypenny HQ which opens into the triple height atrium providing light and creating space within the building’s lobby area. Our estimators were first involved in the project whilst it was still in the design stages, quoting for the new doors based on architects drawings, requiring our engineers to be flexible at the installation stage to allow for a perfect install.
Liverpool Football Club Academy
To supply, install and commission 1no bi-part sliding automatic door, 1no single sliding automatic door and 1no double manual swing door including appropriate activation and safety sensors to the LFC academy in Liverpool.
The LFC academy is the footballing school of Liverpool Football Club. Established in 1998, the state of the art youth centre in Kirby, Liverpool, trains young footballers with the aim of developing them into future professional players.
Arcadis enlisted the services of the ADC team to help design and install new aluminium doors to the academy to help improve access channels within the building. ADC installed 3 doors into the academy, 2 sets of sliding doors to the upper floors and 1 set of manual swing doors to the lower floor.
Following on from the recent installation, the LFC Academy have requested ADC return to install a new steel door also.
East Cheshire NHS Trust
Macclesfield District General Hospital Orthopaedics Entrance
To supply, install and commission a new aluminium entrance lobby extended off the building, including new steel work, ground works and a set of bi-part sliding automatic doors.
East Cheshire NHS Trust tasked ADC to create a new more accessible, eco-friendly entrance way at their orthopaedics unit at Macclesfield hospital, East Cheshire NHS Trust tasked ADC to create a new more accessible, eco-friendly entrance way at their orthopaedics unit at Macclesfield hospital.. The original 2 sets of power swing automatic doors were in very close proximity to each other and often opened together resulting in a huge loss of heat from the building. A wind tunnel effect swept through the reception and waiting area causing it to be a cold, unpleasant environment for both patients and staff.
To combat this, ADC moved the internal door further into the building and created a lobby by extending off the building. This meant that by the time the user had reached the inner doors, the outer doors had closed, massively reducing heat loss and creating a more pleasant environment for the occupants. It was important for the hospital that their entrance way was DDA compliant and easily accessible for all staff, patients and visitors.
When carrying out ground works, ADC consulted a structural engineer to assist with structural designs. New steel works were required to create the new lobby area off the exterior of the building and a new roof light installed.
East Cheshire NHS Trust (Laurence Edwards, Estates officer)
“The Automatic Door Company (ADC) were asked to quote for the contract to maintain the Auto Doors at East Cheshire NHS Trust in 2014, which has been carried out to an exceptional standard. During this period ADC have also replaced two doors to the entrance to our A&E, these doors have changed the appearance and functionality of the A&E. ADC have also carried out the installation to the entrance to Orthopaedics unit, this has changed the waiting area for the better and the waiting area is now more comfortable for patients and staff. Over all ADC have worked to a high standard and I look forward to working with ADC in the future.”
Deyes High School
JPF Systems are specialists in aluminium installations for educational buildings. We were recently contacted by construction contractors Link Contracting to support a project at Deyes High School in the north Liverpool suburbs.
