Further evidence of housing market recovery shown in production of site accommodation by Nottingham firm

Danzer Ltd’s recent positive performance in the construction sector is perhaps further evidence of a resurgent housing market. The increased demand for the company’s pre-fabricated anti-vandal buildings from residential house builders including Taylor Wimpey, Barratt and Jones Homes, strengthens the view that the domestic new build sector is growing with a confidence not seen since before the banking crisis.
Danzer manufactures modular buildings as well as steel anti-vandal units for construction sites, and against 2011 figures the company has increased output by 43% overall, and by 137% in its products sold specifically to the house building sector. Similarly strong growth has been witnessed on the hire side of the business.
House builders throughout the UK are reporting a significant lift in sales as a result of the Government’s Help to Buy scheme. Mortgage lending is rising, house building levels are up, house prices are up. The Government’s interventions have helped drive demand, and the latest figures from Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors show the fastest increase in house prices for six years. The data also shows that new home buyer enquiries have reached an all-time high. Help to Buy offers a 20% loan on new build homes with five years interest-free. From next year the Government will also be supporting loans of up to £600,000 on both new build and existing property purchases.

Danzer Ltd specialises in the manufacture and sale of anti-vandal site accommodation, and modular buildings for construction firms, hospitals, sports clubs and schools. It manufactures the buildings in the UK at its factory in Nottingham. Its sister company, AV Group, specializes in the hire of prefabricated buildings to similar clients, and invests up to £1m each year in replenishing its 4,000 unit hire fleet.
